 Porsche 911 Turbo S
Porsche has introduced the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series, a limited-edition coupe that delivers 607 horsepower, which makes it the most powerful 911 Turbo S model ever created.

Under the hood, the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series also comes with unique design elements that make it distinguishable from other models. The coupe's Golden Yellow Metallic paint finish is complemented by carbon fiber components, specifically on the front trunk lid, roof and side skirts. The carbon-weave strips across the roof and trunk lid give the supercar a sporty feel. The rear fascia also has a new design with a rear wing and twin tailpipes in black.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series gets its firepower from the same 3.8-litre, twin-turbo, and flat-six engines that do duty in the standard 911 Turbo S. However, power figures are up by 27PS/50Nm and now clock at 607PS and 750Nm. These figures make this limited edition car the most powerful 911 ever.

Inside the cabin, the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series has a graceful appearance with luxurious details and the use of specialty materials. Most aspects were also finished by hand. Notable features consist of 18-way adjustable sports seats in leather with Golden Yellow Metallic strips, Turbo S lettering on the headrests and a headliner in Alcantara with a Golden Yellow double stripe look.

Other standard features comprise of 20-inch wheels in Black with Golden Yellow Metallic accents, the Sport Chrono Package, Porsche Active Suspension Management, rear-axle steering and dynamic chassis control.

Mercedes, Audi, BMW Pass On GST Benefits To Customers

  Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz- GariPoint

The three Germans, Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have announced various offers including price cut. This price cut is a result of the GST policy, which will come to effect from 1st July.

Revision of prices in this manner will allow buyers to opt for purchases from now and through the month of June. This will add further impetus to purchase in the next two months rather than buyers postponing purchases till the month of July 2017, which is when the GST comes into effect officially.

Mercedes-Benz was the first one to come out with the price reduction. The company slashed the prices of the locally-assembled models in the range of 2-9 per cent. So its entry-level sedan, CLA, saw a price drop of around Rs 1.2 lakh, whereas the Maybach S500 got cheaper by close to Rs 7 lakh.

BMW is offering reduced rate of interest of 7.9 per cent for all its cars. There’s also assured buyback guarantee for four years, complimentary service and maintenance package for three years and also one year complimentary insurance for one year.

Audi too, is out with attractive finance schemes. This German car maker is also offering a service package covering full maintenance, wear and tear. However, these offers are valid only till June 2017.

All three luxury car brands now look forward to the positive effects of the introduction of GST. The trio visualizes growth momentum in the luxury car segment and is posed to see increased growth in the months ahead. However, while these reduced prices are being offered only on its “Made in India” range, the companies are yet to take decision on price revision on CBU vehicles.

BMW will launch the all-new 5-series in India on June 29, 2017. The 2017 BMW 5 Series borrows several design cues from the 7 Series, and is based on the same CLAR (Cluster Architecture) platform that underpins it.

The 2017 5-series will be 100kgs lighter than its predecessor. The model marks the introduction of the seventh generation of the 5-series.

As compared to the previous generation model, the new 5-series is 36mm longer, 6mm wider and 2mm taller while the wheelbase has been increased by 7mm.

For the Indian market, BMW has plans to offer three engine options, all paired with eight-speed automatic gearboxes. The new 5 will be presented with two diesel engines – a 190hp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder unit in the 520d and the larger and more powerful 265hp, 3.0-litre, inline-six under the hood of the 530d. BMW claims a top speed of 238kmph, and a 0-100kmph time of 7.5 seconds.

The new BMW 5-series is also expected to be offered with abundance of tech such as gesture control for the iDrive system, a remote parking function and adaptive dampers, depending on the variant. The standard kit, though, is expected to include multiple zone climate control, electric adjust front seats, LED headlamps and a host of safety systems.
